North Korea is situated in north Asia and shares a border with the People’s Republic of China and Republic of Korea. The two Koreas have ended in a cease fire during the Korean War in the 50s, therefore technically leaving both countries inside a state of war. Although the armed conflict has been an item of the past, tension from the two Koreas periodically rise because of border incidents. The two countries have spent considerable efforts in reconciliation and unification in the past decade. North Korea yet, is less developed than South Korea.

Western visits to North Korea have recently been allowed and state sponsored tourism has begun. Despite the internal propaganda of North Korea against western nations inside the past number of decades the opening of North Korea to tourism is a clear change in their policy.

Tourist visits to North Korea are special in a sense that all visitors have to be followed by a North Korean guide constantly. There’s markedly little or no interaction with locals in any of the destinations. Despite these oddities North Korea have been a popular place to go for Chinese and Russian vacationers. North Korean vacations are specially popular in the Russian market owing to the warm temperature in North Korea.

Though the economical disparity inside two Koreas is enormous, the differences in natural beauty are almost the same if not skewed in favor of North Korea. North Korea has maintained many of the historical internet sites located in their country. North Korea is also household to exciting mountain vistas like in Mount Kumgang. Particular spots near the South Korean border like Kaesong have been opened for tourism. Kaseong has even been opened to South Koreans to visit and has in a very short space of time become a favorite destination.The strongest point of Korean environment is that nearly all of its locations have remained untouched given that the Korean War, this has allowed quite a few places to recoup and look after their organic beauty undisturbed by industrial or urban expansion.

Russia is the largest country in the world; it is twice as large as the second largest country in the world, Canada. It spans 11 time zones. When traveling in Russia, you should know that it is important to know at least a little Russian, as that is the official language of the country. It would be useful to know some of the common courtesy phrases, and things like that. In the business centers and for many young people, English is sometimes spoken enough for understanding, but do not expect to be able to get by without learning any Russian.

In order to get into the country, you will need to get a Visa except for citizens of very few countries, like those on the Western boarder of the country. You also need an invitation or to show that you have booked and paid for your sleeping accommodations beforehand. You should keep your tourist Visa and passport with you at all times. This is due to the ID checks commonly done in major cities by police officials, who can keep you up to three hours for identification authentications. You will probably arrive by plane and while in the country, might use smaller airlines to travel around. You will find that Russia has an extensive railway network that expands across the country. It is usually reliable, and reached almost all cities and towns. It is pretty comfortable and generally safe. In order to pay for your expenses while in Russia, you will HAVE to use Rubles, they are the official currency of the country, and is generally the only tender accepted.
